As recording technology becomes more and more affordable, just about anyone can put together a decent recording set up. This has resulted in an abundance of recording studios - some good, some not so good. The rapid development of digital technology and computer based recording has flooded the industry with low cost equipment capable of astonishingly high quality results. It has, unfortunately, also flooded the industry with a lot of bad recordings caused by bad engineering. Owning a pile of gear has no bearing on ones ability to make good recordings. You can buy equipment, but you can't buy skill, knowledge and experience. These things are developed over time, through years of work.
Discussions about one piece of gear vs. another piece of gear, analog vs. digital, this mic vs. that mic go on ad infinitum. The one thing they don't address is this: No piece of gear, regardless of how good it may be, will make a bad performance good or bad engineering better. The most important factors in the quality of any recorded performance are the performance itself, the source of the original sound and the skill of the engineer recording it.
At Alliance Audio, we have the skill, knowledge and experience to guide you through the recording process from pre production to duplication. We have working relationships with several area recording studios, as well as access to local auditoriums and recital halls. If you like, we can also bring the studio to you with our mobile multi track recording rigs.
Most importantly, we understand music as well as we understand our gear. Give us a call or contact us through the email link on the site, and we'll be happy to discuss your recording and duplication needs.
